This is an image of a very early Amish cemetery I stumbled on it on while driving on country road north of Lancaster, Pa. I believe this is one the first Amish cemeteries used during the early settlement of that region. It is, appropriately I think, surrounded by cornfields on all sides. Notice how the markers are all simple unadorned and uniform in design.
I’m recently back from a four-day road trip to Holmes County Ohio to continue my photo project on Amish tourism. I had a great time discovering a new area of Ohio, and wandering that region with my camera. I traveled over 1100 miles. Now to get down to processing and sorting all those photos.
