Iím just back from a three-day road trip into the northwestern part of New York State. Took my camera and just wandered. It was lots of fun, but now Iím trying to get caught up. Tomorrow is the semi-annual Amish auction near here, which is a large fundraiser for a one-room school, so I guess catching up fully will be on hold.
A new house rises in place of an old brick farmhouse. A small part of the old house still stands, while the new one is built by men from the local Mennonite community. The remaining house is occupied by the family while they wait for the new one to be completed. There are ten family members living in the remaining section of the old house, which must be very cramped.
