David, three of his children, and two dogs out for a long walk in the late afternoon. We hiked up to the top of a ridge through his farm fields to get a view of the gorgeous valley below. Jason (David’s brother) and I are taking up the rear position. It was a beautiful cool and windy day, which was enjoyed by all of us. We were also looking for a rare owl that’s nesting in the fields. An Audubon club photographer who discovered them first told us about the owls. Met him a few weeks ago on the edge of the same field. He sent me a few photos of these birds. Way cool. (Sorry I don’t have the name of the birds handy) We spotted three owls that day, but to far away for a clear photo.
