This winter has been essentially snow free and so these Mennonite farmers were taking advantage of the clear day and bare fields to get some winter baling in. I joined them in the fields this afternoon watching the activities and photographing just about everything. The day was crisp and clear with a dramatic cloudy sky, just perfect for taking pictures. This photo is of a group of the Mennonite farmers, (The Martins) trying to fix a stubborn baler that was acting erratic. They finally got it fixed and finished their work in this field. Later I wandered into a nearby pasture at sunset with fifteen beautiful Belgium draft horses grazing. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous. It doesn’t get any better than this splendid afternoon for me. It was pure heaven. I feel so privileged to be allow into this world, even for a short time.
