Peachy is an Amish farmer I’ve gotten to know in the last few years. He and his family produce the most spectacular fruits vegetables and flowers you can imagine. Peachy grows a wide variety of peaches that are simply the best every. I guess that’s why they call him Peachy? He has so many varieties I never know which ones to buy. Each one more delicious than the last. Decisions decisions? This horse is the horse that pulls the family buggy. The going to church buggy.
I asked Peachy if he knew another local Amish farmer who raises camels? I had heard about him and actually stopped to meet him and ask about taking some pictures of the camels. He politely declined my taking pictures, but let a friend and I take a look around. A few weeks later I asked Peachy if he knew the camel farmer. It turns out the camel farmer is Peachey’s brother. He asked his brother about why I couldn’t take some photos and found out the reason I wasn’t allowed to photograph the camel’s is he thought I was with the local the press and didn’t want his farm and his camels to become a tourist attraction. So I guess thanks to Peachy I have permission to take photos at the Amish Camel farm. Small world. BTW: the camels are raised for their milk to drink and it's supposed to be very healthy. I think I’ll pass.
