Away from the hustling and bustling of busy Hong Kong, there is a small fishing village at the northernmost corner of Lantau island. it is called Tai O (大澳) Tai O is located partly on Lantau island and partly on Tai O island. Tai O island itself is actually a delta from nearby river. The village is located mostly on the banks of the river.

One thing that makes Tai O unique is that the inhabitants still carry traditional ways of living - not an easy feat considering the urban magnetism that is Hong Kong nearby. The slow pace makes it a breather for tourists wanting a change of pace.
