Shortly after sunrise on August 24, my friend Terry and I headed out on a photo roadtrip. Our ultimate destination was Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, but we meandered northward on back roads and made several stops along the way. It was a beautiful day in late summer, and I hope these pictures convey some idea of why I think this part of the state is so special.
