this is where the viewing platforms for the heron fishing festival WERE, they were now in bits and pieces spread all the way down the river to the bridge and log jamming part of the weir.

The mobile crane you can see in some of the other shots was part of the crew getting new platforms up.

Unfortunately the festival was a few days after I flew out so I missed it :(
