The members of the woodturning class were invited over to Dale Nish's home. We had the opportunity to view and even handle turned works from an extensive collection of professional woodturners. This, I have been told, is one of the most extensive collections in the U.S. and every room in his home is packed with amazing pieces. The photos don't do them justice, of course - and I got Dale's permission to take the photos and post them here online. Dale has a wonderful "dry wit" and is very kind, soft spoken and generous.
My grandpa is the best:) For christmas he always makes those little bird house ornaments for us to choose from as a christmas gift. It's been that way for more than 10 years. Greatest gift i could ever ask for. He does have a dry wit and its great hearing stories from him.
