We've had a rough spring/summer in terms of weather. We have had more rain than we've seen in a really long time. Because of the weather, I decided not to plant any flowers this year. We've had so many torrential downpours that I figured there was no use spending the money on flowers, only to have them get beat up by Mother Nature.

I finally took the time to take a flower photo - this is one that my dad has growing in one of his flower pots. I've never seen this kind of flower before and thought it worthy of a photo.
