Top Of The Mountain Plants

Linda and I have to research and figure out what these plants are. They grow only on top of the mountains and I can't remember seeing these before.

**Update** According to Chris who works for the Foresty Service these are known as The Devil's Walking Sticks. Very poisonous to anything that eats/licks the liquid inside the plant. When the plant dies it falls to the ground and looks like a walking stick. The thorns on the trunk and the poisonous liquid give it the Devil's name.
