This is the original Georgia Highway 140 near Pine Log Georgia about 14 miles east of Adairsville. This is the way to get around the train crossing on the new Highway 140. The CSX rail is very busy. This is the Atlanta to Knoxville CSX line. From the 50's until the late 80's you would not see any truck traffic on Highway 140 because of this underpass. Truck had to go north about 15 miles to get around the underpass. Now Highway 140 has become a main passage for trucks getting from Rome Georgia to Canton Georgia.
