This rock came out of the creek that runs thru our property. On a hill about 1/4 mile behind our house is where the spring that feeds the creek is located. This past winter something happened at a shopping center that was built on top of the spring and all our beautiful rocks became blood red with a mixture of mud, oil and grease. I removed a couple of rocks to show to the EPA, city and state. It is believed that the water from the parking lot of the shopping center has been diverted into spring that feeds our creek filling it with oil, grease, mud and other junk. Our little creek has never recovered and the water still looks about the same color as this rock. It makes us mad that the EPA, city and state don't really care about our creek. They just brushed us off as if we didn't exist. We have not given up. We are still trying to get a solution for our creek.
