Strobes: Sony HVL-58AM flash, and Canon Speedlite 580EX II Flash. They are generally used off camera, sometimes with a Novoflex Flash-Griff flash bracket.

Support: Giottos MM 8680 carbon fiber monopod with a Really Right Stuff MH-02 head and Mefoto Globetrotter carbon fiber tripod with a Really Right Stuff BH-55 head.

Some B/W scans were shot either with a Rollei 35 SE or Leica M2 and Tri-X 400 film.

Photoshop CS-CC is my main processing tool -- all shots taken were shot in Camera Raw and processed in ACR, and then further adjusted in CS-CC.

As some have asked about how to get the best looking shots for Pbase:

Scaling beyond 240 dpi or 8 bit makes little sense (only
a factor in printing images) as the display resolution is so low. Instead, focus on these steps:

1.) Convert all images to SRGB as this is the color space browsers use; the srgb color
gamut is more limited than Adobe RGB and others, but images will look best on the web in SRGB.

2.) Do your own cropping and compression in PS or the like, when Pbase does it, quality is lower.
I crop to 800X500-600 and compress at 8-10 of 12, which seems to look best for the web.

3.) Be sure to apply sharpening (I use unsharp mask or smart sharpen in PS CS-CC) after cropping as well.
