For the past year or so, I've been looking for a small
"pocketable" digital camera, and after having tested a few
(Casio, Sony, Panasonic) in real world conditions,
I've finally landed with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2.
The LX2 has a native 16:9 format sensor with 28mm (equiv.) lens
at the wide end, allowing me to experiment with
wide format images, a new endevor, having come from
several years in the narrow field of 400mm for wildlife close-ups.
So after all this time of "stepping up", with better camera bodies
and better lenses, I'm now taking a different approach,
a different road. I'm stepping down to greater freedom, speed, and
spontaneous artistry.
