I had one fly into my hair, then it came out and only had one leg so , I made a home that was raided .He also sat on my hand and seemed to lick salt I guess of my hand. So cool mom nature.

We have had them every year for the last few years and it not just one is like 5 or 6. They just fly around on our front porch.

About 20 years ago our granddaughter found on the wall of our house. I took pictures of it as we had never seen this beautiful grasshopper before. Last year (2013) at this same time (Autumn) we saw one on our front porch railing...I took some more pictures. Now again this year we have seen another one on our window screen and I took some more pictures....They are so nice to look at. Fascinating...!

I looked this up as leaf grasshoppers of FL and i found this! :D I found a Katydid today at my high school lol and its sitting in my pencil case since I didn't have a container to put it safely in.
