In El Golfo the coast is formed by the left overs of a volcanic cone where half has been eroded by the sea. There is an impressive contrast between the emerald green lagoon that take on the color of microscopic organisms and the overwhelming rock above.
The lagoon is separated from the sea by a black sand beach which is doted with grains of olivine, a semi preciosu green colored stone. T
