Maria Teresa de Azucena was born in El Salvador to a family of bohemians where she discoverd her passion for arts, between music, poems,and songs. She has a bachelor degree in Education and sucessfully ran a Pre-School in El Salvador. She moved to Florida and began her art training under the tutelage of several great artists, where she discovered her style and expresive form. The use of bright colors and light show her personality. She has learned to create using nature, where flowers, fruits,landscapes and people show something dramatic, expressing not only her feelings and spiritual essence but also to delight the viewer.The abstract and figurative styles are two themes that she constantly pursues, even thought the mayority of her paintings are still life fruits; she will surprise us with an extraordinary family portrait or a vivid figurative art work of her native people of El Salvador, as well as indulge us in a impresionistic landscape of an amazing forest and array of tropical flowers. Maria Teresa has exhibited her artwork internationaly and nationaly numerous times. She belongs to many art clubs and her artwork feature in many galleries.
