Went to the Wall to leave pictures/letters at Uncle Jack's name. On the way back, a veteran took the kids' picture with his Harley and gave them a 2012 Run for the Wall pin. He has been making the trip annually for 24 yrs, from California, with a list of friends in his pocket to pay tribute to.
The last 4 photos are the front/back of the two printouts that we left.
We'll return for Rolling Thunder tomorrow, but we will also be enjoying the freedom this weekend that my uncle, my grandfather, my husband's grandfather, and so many others fought for... I think everyone should take time out of their Memorial Day activities to think of those who died so they can have the freedom to cook out, go boating, or do whatever else they enjoy.
