For those who aren't familiar, "Painting with Light" is a very creative and rewarding technique used to create stunning images. Basically you set up your camera in a dark place with an object you'd like to photograph. Make sure you're mounted on the tripod and then open your shutter for any amount of time, typically anything from 15 to 30sec or however long is required. Then, while the shutter is open, use a flashlight to "paint" your subject with light. When done, close the shutter. Here you have the ability to completely control your light, it's intensity, duration and angles.
