Sailing away...

Sailing boats are the nearest things to dreams that hands have ever made

Thought is the wind, knowledge the sail, and mankind the vessel... “The only ship you can truly steer in this ocean is the one you're sailing. Quit trying to alter the winds; harness them.” The wind was sent with its soft black arms... “If the wind will not serve, take to the oars.” The sail was waving in the wind. Now whether it was waving hello or goodbye, I do not know
It is an all-too-human frailty to suppose that a favorable wind will blow forever. Look for the intruder.... Wisdom sails with wind and time... The wind might change like ideas.... Ready for the wind...
Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore Wind can be both... Cruising has two pleasures..... A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for... I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship
He that will not sail till all dangers are over must never put to sea Birds of a feather flock together... May all the directions be our allies The interest of unexpected encounters is enhanced by diversity... Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction...
The real contest is always between what you've done and what you're capable of doing... He is the best sailor who can steer within fewest points of the wind... Keep the wind blowing on your back and you'll get forward... “If the wind will not serve, take to the oars.” A sailing vessel is alive in a way that no ship with mechanical power ever be
Wisdom sails with wind and time... The indifference of wind makes the sails doubtful The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails. “If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable.”
