I make a habit of not looking at others' comments before I add mine so I can be spontaneous in my responses. This is notable because of the boy's youth against the ancientness of the shutters...and the softness of his hood against the hardness of the wall, not to mention his amazingly pink cheeks. Truly a gem.
What I like about this picture is the contrast between the aged facade of the building and its colorful chipped paint and crumbling stucco, and the newness of that fresh little face - still to develop all those layers of color.
Yay for a new camera! Exciting.
I just came to your gallery and already I am placing a vote and immediately adding you to my favorite list. Your mood, usage of color, and the softness is beautiful.
