Marisa, now that's more like it. You have far too many bug-free galleries and far too many images with titles that do not include my name (or at least something other than '*')! LOL It's good to see you're starting to address that oversight. ;^)
Lovely photo, and the wasp(?) adds a point of interest, even if you can't quite see the blacks of its eyes. ;^) At first, I thought maybe you got a tele lens in there to keep you at a safe distance, but I can see you didn't. Given that you took this the same day as the other one I commented on, I'm guessing this is cropped from a somewhat larger compposition. Anyway, with my quirks, other people have occasionally created fun photos and dedicated them to me as well, but this is the first from someone who has confronted her fears head on, so I appreciate your effort. I hope the beast didn't try to terrorise you too much.
On the composition, if I was doing this one, given that the wasp is a point of focus, I would have tried to put it near a rule of thirds focus point, or at least near a ROT line, ie about a third of the way from the edges of the frame. I would have thought about framing the shot further to the left or right and maybe cropping tighter to get the wasp away from the centre of the image. Same idea vertically. It's often easier to do that at the time of composing your shots of course as you don't always have lots of spare pixels to allow significant cropping once the image is taken.
Thanks for trying out something different. Actually, apart from being in much closer, I guess it isn't really so different from your wonderful mono that I commented on yesterday to prompt this one. :^)
Cheers, John

Stunning shot! Love the colors, the crop and the framing! Oh, and the wasp! Brave approach with an allergy!
