Galleria San Federico

Torino ( Italy)

Historically, Turin is known as a city-lounge where one can walk over streets and squares in peace, to admire the old city refined buildings, maintained with the utmost care.
Turin is a city of porticoes and arcades - over 16 kilometres in all! From the wide and beautiful ones in the town centre with grey stone (Via Po) or marble (Via Roma) pavements to the humbler and more strictly functional ones of the peripheral ones, porticoes are unique urban features in their extension and development along streets, avenues and squares.
Porticoes shelter you from the rain and sun, invite to comfortable strolling and are useful and pleasant social meeting points.

I love the composition, but mostly it is the delicate, sometimes pastel tinted, color and light that really catches my eye. ~BV~

A very elegant capture of a very elegant galleria. I like the effect of the differently colored light sources. V

Superb colour and details of this public interior. The perspective is nice too, Marisa. BV
