A type of scene that is very common where I live, too. Only ours does not include the lovely old buildings and overall charm of the scene you have so artfully captured here. ~BV~

Real winter, but very slushy in Nyon, Marisa! Nice picture with the Christmas decoration! V

Excellent V!!

Ah, a picture that shows why I dislike snow so much - the inevitability of the slush and mud.

The downside of a pretty snow scene is the aftermath when it starts to melt...messy mud and slush to walk and drive through. Still, the sidewalks are still beautiful with the pretty decorations for Christmas and the snow managing to hold on to the little trees that line the road. Lovely image of such a beautiful and quaint little town!

The buildings and holiday decorations are quite appealing in this excellent image, the street not so much so. I love snow right after it has fallen, especially the silence of it all, and then am so sad to see how dirty it gets, especially on the sides of the roads.

The streets look like Ottawa at this very moment with their melting snow, but the overall aspect, the architecture, the narrowness of the street, is very different, and very, very charming. V
