This is just a little street of the old town and this photo has not any particular quality of remarkable feature, just a quiet cobbled street in a sunny spring day, but it has a symbolic meaning to settle the beginning of a little story.

As I have already stressed, my fellow countrymen of German Switzerland have not the same passion for refined gastronomy we might have either in French of Italian Switzerland, which is a gentle metaphor to say that food is not exactly at my taste, they mostly eat to survive, I suppose, without any special attention to what they eat, or maybe they simply have different taste and food traditions.

Anyway, Sergey, who is curious by nature, wanted absolutely to taste grilled sausages, which are typical of this part of my country, even though I have tried to distract him from his ideas telling him well, uhm, grilled sausage are not so extraordinary (Sergey is a refined gourmet and good cook and he loves Italian and French gastronomies in all their different nuances).

We were walking at random, enjoying Schaffhausen, which is definitely a splendid little town, and in this street I noticed a small shop where there were on sale grilled sausages and I told Sergey he might try them.

He answered: “Oh yes, but not now, later…” so we kept on walking, the rest of the story will follow with the next pictures….
