I do think Paris is made for walkers, but walking over those endless winding corridors of that underground parallel world, like burrows of invisible gigantic moles is not what I consider enjoyable.
Have you ever tried to take metro in Paris with baggage?
Dragging and lifting your suitcases over the absurd series of steps up and down and then venturing over a dirty and crowed labyrinth is depressing.
All the people are in transit, probably wishing to get our as soon as it’s possible, the only apparently settled ones are the musicians, who have chosen different corners of metro as working place.
Their music sometimes reaches the passengers from distance, when the musicians are still invisible and then suddenly they are there, at the crossing of two corridors….
This photo is part of a series dedicated to my visual impressionf of a short stay in Paris...in transit.
