I was surprised to see that this was shot so late in the morning; at first glance the light looked much earlier/lower from some of the shadow lengths, though I've never been in a truly Alpine area yet so I don't have anything to compare to.
I can imagine being there from this shot; almost feel the chill of the air on my face. You've made a nice framing choice in having the path/road "lead in" until it vanishes in the trees.
