The first morning boat didn’t land to the tiny Fishermen’s Island yet, so there are only the local few inhabitants and about 15 or 20 guests of the two small hotels.
It’s a privileged moment of calm and serenity.
This photo has not any quality,it simply means to be a record of a vibrant memory of a very enjoyable morning ritual.
The lady sweeping the dead leaves is in charge for multiply tasks, she’s the responsible for the small pier, she sells the boat tickets and she collects the mail. Besides all that she has become our “Mentor” for all what concerns our stay on the island and our daily excursions.
When we greet her after our breakfast, she immediately stop her activity and drags us into her microscopic office and starts planning our itinerary suggesting all the connection with various boats to go from island to island and to stop also in some little towns on the mainland and to not miss the last boat of the evening to come back, then she gives us the best fare tickets with all possible reductions ( even though, frankly speaking, also the full rate is not expensive), all that with a sober and determined attitude, a real display of her kind, but very strong personality.
