All is well in the best of all possible worlds...
As I had guessed, the rain ended, so we could go out to explore our territory.
It’s a very tiny island, called Isola dei Pescatori (Fishermen’s Island); it’s like a motionless ship of rock floating on Lake Maggiore.
There are two other islands in this little archipelago; we’ll have time to explore all of them.
The mainland is so close that we can hear the sound of trains and see all the lights of the promenade, but we have this nice feeling of being secluded.
All is so quiet, there is nobody around.
We have been told that we can get to a local small restaurant for dinner.
Now it’s too early for that, in Italy no one has dinner before 8pm.
The clouds, still heavy with rain, are fading away, leaving in their place the enchanting colours of a pink sunset.
Tomorrow it will be a bright day...
