Once upon a time in Fribourg...

Fribourg is an ancient town located on the Swiss plateau, and extends on both sides of the Saane/Sarine River, which, in the vicinity of Fribourg, has cut deeply into the molasse with a very impressive “canyon” effect.
We joke a little calling Fribourg a “frontier town”, since it’s set on both sides of the river which separates the two main linguistic regions of Switzerland.
On one side we speak French and on the other side they speak German...
In Fribourg they speak both!

Very fanciful little window... Shoppers One morning under the bridge... Feeling small... Just around the corner...
Looking up...and down! A cup of coffee at the Auberge des Boulangers? The elegance of a street lamp Bikes and stairs don't always match well... Le café de la Fleur de Lys
A street lamp, a sign, a morning... Peeping from the covered bridge... We are two in the street... The covered bridge of the old town... Swiss Puppets Museum...
Like a natural fortified town A desert ancient bridge leading me downtown... At the bottom of a domestic Canyon... The door was barred not only for me... A gentle veil of mist rose from the river...
And at long last here is the river... Downstairs, again and again.... Following the sun, looking for the river... Softly the sun comes.... Downstairs there must be the river, downstairs....
It was early in the morning... The clock says it’s time of a morning coffee...
