I am an ophthalmologist who has donated his time to join a charitable organization called Healing The Children. These photos document scenes of a visit by a team to northern Ecuador where we performed general eye surgery on more than 80 children in a week's time to correct crossed eyes and other ailments. As with all these trips, the missions are incredibly rewarding and combine talents from numerous nurses, physicians, assistants, technicians and local supporting personnel.
