These buildlings, near the grounds of Republic Airport in Farmingdale, New York, await their fate. Like others that were located nearby, they'll probably be torn down and replaced by new buildings, perhaps even yet another shopping center. Until then, they just wait.

With all the revitilization that's been going on in Atlanta, we've been fortunate enough that a lot of the old buildings have been renovated for new business, and apartments near downtown. The downside for my area (about 20 miles north) is the movement of transients to here. 20 years ago we could sleep with our doors & windows open, now there's drug dealing and prostitution in front of my house. It's a never ending cycle that repeats from one area to another. But with such old structures that have a lot of history, it's always good if something can be done to save them considering we have such a short history to begin with. Thanks
