Old Westbury Gardens

The formal gardens of Old Westbury Gardens comprise 88 acres of the 160-acre estate. The house, completed in 1906, was built in the Charles II style by architect Grosvenor Atterbury and London designer George Abraham Crawley. It was owned by financier John Shaffer Phipps and his wife Margarita Grace Phipps. In 1958, after both Phipps had died, it was decided to turn the estate into a non-profit organization as a way to preserve its beauty.

Advice, feedback, suggestions, and comments are all welcome. Or you could just sign our guestbook to let us know who you are or where you're from - it would be nice to "meet" you. And if you like an image, and feel it's worthy of a vote, please give it one. Thanks, and have a nice day!
