We made another trip into NYC, this time on Saint Patrick's Day, March 17, 2005. It was not our intent to be there on this day but it was the only day we were able to meet a friend of mine from Germany, Gerrit, who was visiting New York.
We met him at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which happened to be the first time we went to that museum. Quite nice, but way too much to see in one day. We'll be back. After the museum, we caught the end of the Saint Patrick's Day Parade, which just happened to end where the museum was located. We then took a little walk through Central Park, finally getting to see Bethesda Fountain in the park, but it was getting dark and I wasn't able to get too many photos. We'll be back.
After a brief tour of Tavern on the Green, which wasn't quite as nice as we expected, we had dinner at a great little Italian restaurant called 44 SW, located on the southwest corner of 44th St. and 9th Avenue. Expect great food and warm, cozy atmosphere.
Advice, feedback, suggestions, and comments are all welcome. Or you could just sign our guestbook to let us know who you are or where you're from - it would be nice to "meet" you. And if you like an image, and feel it's worthy of a vote, please give it one. Thanks, and have a nice day!
