This all started when a baby barred owl fell from his nest. A kind hiker found the baby wet, cold and half dead. After watching for a while to see if mom or dad would intervene, he picked up the baby, brought it home and called Raptor, Inc. Later, after nursing the baby back to reasonable health, volunteers from Raptor then stuffed the baby back in his nest in a snag in a tall tree. While this was going on, the baby's sibling, now a brancher, decided to join the party. He had to be put back in a nearby tree as well. All ended reasonably well except for Jeff, the tree climber, getting "nailed" by an angry moma owl.
