Message from Marc Ruediger
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to look at my galleries. I use Canon equipment consisting of:
- EOS 1D Mark IV
- EOS 30D with BG-E2 vertical grip
- EOS 5 (35mm film)
- EF 17-40 f4L
- EF 24-70 f2.8L
- EF 70-200 f2.8L IS
- EF 1.4x II extender
- 580EX flash
Quite a few of my photos have watermarks. I've tried to do this so as not to distract from the photograph itself. As photographers we quite often go to great lengths to get 'the' photo. The ease in which we can now present our work to the world through sites like Pbase also means it's easier for others to take this and claim as their own. I am also aware of at least 3 websites where my photos have been displayed without my permission but have not asked for them to be removed as the watermark clearly shows that I took the photos. Plus, some photos deserve to be displayed larger to gain a greater appreciation, especially landscapes, so it's worthwhile protecting this work.
