our trip to the Highlands was via the West Highland Railway from Glasgow. We stayed in Fort Williams and toured the area on foot. While Ben Nevis is the main draw, the 500 BC vitrified fort (Dun Deardail) was most interesting.

Beautiful countryside with ever changing light and moods, and the Scotch is to die for.
