Enkianthus

A small to medium shrub that grows erect and narrow, and it contrasts well with the more rounded habit of its cousins, Azaleas, Leucothoes, and Rhododendrons. Clusters of bellflowers, sometimes streaked with red, make their delicate appearance in late April. Fall foliage color is a brilliant red.
