Tight crops are very unforgiving. Facial details become the focus of attention when we're so used to just maybe looking at a face with another visual reference like say, a hand, a background, or some other type of prop that makes our attention vacillate between these points. But here, you've managed to add a bit of drama to the facial landscape with the use of those coins that somehow complements the eye as well. The face becomes the background, but also manages to be in the foreground as well. What can I say? Fantastic, as usual : )
