what kind of camera do you use?
I'm using canon 300d 85.8 lens but I cannot take a picture like you.
This is the same lovely model you used in "Touched by Light," but you have used light here to create an entirely different person. She does appear much younger, less sophisticated, and above all, very innocent. And its all in the effect of the natural light that seems to be enveloping her from behind. Traditonalists would tell you that this picture is washed out and over-exposed, and in those terms, a photographic failure. Because they place reliance on form above content, they are sadly mistaken. You have used light here to wash the subject out on purpose. She appears to be dissolving, more transient, and above all, more vulnerable. It is amazing what light can do in terms of meaning. I salute you for using natural light in your portraiture, and breaking away from traditional lighting "rules" to create meaning instead of effect for its own sake.
