Lynn is right -- this image is structured beautifully -- the vertical thrust of the door, slats, and orange form of the monk play beautifully against the disintegrating wall at left. Context is critical here -- it is more than just a monk in a doorway. The well worn door and wall tell us that there are things more important to Buddhist life than living in behind beautifully painted doors and stucco walls.
