Driving back home in the rain from San Angelo on Mother's Day weekend in 2007, we rounded a familiar curve, looked to our left, and Wow! -- wildflowers in the rain. It was too late to shoot the field then, so I came back the next day. Still raining, but the light was okay and the sky was magnificent.
The two images differ a little bit in composition, but they were taken within minutes of one another. The first image lacks the vibrancy of the second one due to a difference in post-processing. I used Curves on the second image to increase its dynamic range. The only burr remaining is the lack of sharpness the Sigma 28-70mm lens is guilty of -- and it took buying a better lens to solve that problem!
