Filey Brigg

This isn't a walk, as such, as the point of the outing is simply to enjoy being at, and exploring the Brigg.

If you are considering walking at sea level, then care must be taken with the tides. Find out when low tide occurs, then work to either side of that. On our visit, we went down the good path to sea level and traversed the shelf leading out to the Brigg, and even though this was at low tide, it still involved some easy climbing above a couple of pools, just a few steps, but be warned. A couple of parties who were down there at the same time, with young children, turned back. I understand that during the summer months low tide is actually much lower, and that it is an easy stroll out to the rocks. However, during the summer months, there are a lot more folk down here, and there isn't the same 'feel' for the wilder nature of the place.
