A day with lots of Canon lenses thanks to Camera House, Canon, and the Adelaide Zoo.

This was my first experience with Canon's 'L' series. I really liked the 70-200mm f/4L because it was light and very sharp, although not quite as fast on autofocus as the 2.8 version. The 200mm f/1.8L was fantastically sharp, but very conspicuous. The 500mm f/4L was excellent but hard work, particularly the giraffe shots that involved pointing upwards. The 17-40 f/4L was also a delight. Some pictures using the wonderful 60mm f/2.8 Macro appear in my flower gallery.

All up a great afternoon. I miss those guys so much...(sniff)
