As a curious student of International Politics I felt a visit to Albania in 1984 was very appropriate given the closed, Orwellian nature of the state at that time. The photos were taken with a poor quality camera and it shows in these scans I recently made from prints. Still, I feel they have some value as an historical record of a foreigner's very limited view of what was a terrible time for the country.
