Impulse Purchase

I know I said I wasn't going to buy anything in the sales but four napkin rings for €1 hardly makes me the last of the big spenders.
Having drooled over all the beautiful Christmas table settings on blogsphere, I thought I should make an effort for our New Year's Day dinner.
I wonder if I can persuade my husband to use his origami skills to make
creations like these described by Mrs Beeton in her famous cookery book?

It is pretty... and a good sale. We only live once, might as well have some fun with it.
Happy New Year!

So much more elegant than using your shirt tail for a napkin!

Nice documentary shot. I like the composition and DOF.

The way I hear it, the 1 Euro pretty much DOES make you the last of the big spenders west of the Urals...
I like the way you've positioned the ring on the napkin templates (the background thus complementing the subject), though I think that some of those designs actually work better with the cloth type than the paper type. But hey, can't hurt to try!
