Stocking Up For Arthur's Day

A pub close to where I work stocks up for Arthur's Day but I'm not joining the celebration.
It's not just that I don't like the taste of the 'black stuff' but I firmly believe that Arthur's Day is just a cynical marketing ploy to get
people to drink more Guinness.
And drinks giant Diageo which now owns Guinness is planning to close the local Harp brewery, bringing to an end a centuries old brewing tradition in Dundalk.

That is a great shame about Harp being closed down.
I haven't heard of Arthur, will have to look him up.

Great photograph of this. Harp is a very fine beer and deserves to be kept going. Good for you to boycott the event. V.

Cool shot of the pub and beer barrels. So sad about the local brewery, I'd not attend either. Excellent blog. V

A fine composition with the contrast silver/black and the framing. V.

I didn't even realize that Guinness had been bought out! That is real shame. I have to agree with your comments. However, a very good photo here. V
