Even in this era of Kindles and iPads nothing beats the excitement of opening a new book and reading the first lines, whether for the first time or returning to a much loved story.
For his birthday I got my husband a few hardback copies of Dickens to add to his collection and I am certainly looking forward to re-reading some of them myself.
