A new season

Our neighbours across the water may be basking in an Indian summer, but unfortunately we got one extra day of summer on Wednesday and normal service has been resumed. It might be a bit milder than average for September but it's back to grey skies and rain.
I had a day off yesterday and had thought that I could take Fudge for a walk in the mountains and get some pics of the emerging autumn colours. Turns out I had been paying too much attention to the UK weather forecast and not our own. I was lucky to get Fudge out for a morning walk after dropping our son to school. The rain started and there was nothing for it but to change our plans and head off on a shopping trip instead (got some books and winter clothes). Luckily I had taken a couple of pics of these fallen leaves on the roof of my car before the rain descended.

Ah but your DoF is just grand Mairead. Pity we couldn't lend you some of our weather :o))

A nice color combination. The soft, cloudy light can be very pleasant!
